the dental assistant was nice, Older gentleman Dentist was also friendly, both a little pushy. said my 13yr old daughters tooth didnt clear her gum all the way and they needed to cut some of it back so she was not in pain. When I returned for the appointment 2 days later, I was told that I was not aloud in the room while the procedure was being done. Sorry but im not allowing my daughter to go through that alone. so We said no thank you and got it taken care of somewhere else.

Saw Edward for a cleaning. He did a good job and explained everything he was doing and why. I give him a 5 star rating. It is the company policies that drive me nuts. Being charged for a topical numbing agent has always been included in the fee that my insurance pays but not at Coastal. I was charged an extra $66.00 out of pocket. They will pinch every cent they can out of you. And where is my free tooth brush and floss that all dentists give at a cleaning? Not at Coastal. The company gets a 2 star rating.

I had a tooth sensitivity issue after refilling from daytona beach coastal dental. After first refilling, it was sensitive anytime chewing or cold water touch. Waited for a while but never gone away so got refill done again. I explained to the dentist assistant of the symptom and explain it feels as if there is an exposed nerve on the tooth sensation. what the assistant said was "no, all the procedure was done correctly there is no nerve exposed." She was so reactive answering it, very defensive. Soon doctor came in and I explained it again. Doctor did the refill again. But it was still very sensitive. Anytime chewing so sensitive, as well to the air or cold. after few weeks, I was flossing gently since it was so sensitive. Tooth came off. It broke off. From there on, it felt so much better except now gum exposed, sensitive to cold and air. Went to doctor again to refill. Again explained what happened to the dentist assistant. She asked me if I flossed my teeth up and down not side to side, then after, told me that I am supposed to not floss up and down but side to side like sawing motion. It sounded very stupid. She was being so defensive trying not to get blamed,

Unequivocally one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a dentist. Not only did the dental assistant BREAK OFF my permanent retainer on my teeth, and admit to doing so, but the main doctor came in to the room and proceeded to gaslight me into believing that my permanent retainer was "already loose" and was "bound to fall off eventually" despite never seeing the doctor beforehand. Following this, they charged me $40 to fix the mistake their own staff made. The only redeeming quality about this place is the front desk staff, as they have always been pleasant.

Great service, shout out to the front desk,The technician and the dentist, and up-and-coming dentist, lucky he was kind, thorough and patient. I would definitely recommend this dentist and facility. They were all very attentive and kind. Thank you very much for the experience. See you next time. I don't just write negative reviews...
